Privacy Policy

The short version

PhotoPuma is a photo editor that runs entirely in your web browser. Your photos are opened, edited and exported on your own device — they are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. We have no servers that receive your images, and no account to sign up for.

Your photos and projects

Everything you do in the editor happens locally. When you import a photo, it is loaded into your browser's memory and rendered on a canvas on your device. Background removal runs in your browser too. When you export, the finished image is generated on your device and saved directly to it.

To let you pick up where you left off, PhotoPuma autosaves your open project to your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Information we don't collect

We do not ask for, receive or store your name, email address, photos, or edited projects. Because there is no backend, there is no account system and nothing for us to collect on our own servers.

Third-party services

A few services help us host and fund the site:

Hosting (Cloudflare Pages). PhotoPuma is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare may process standard technical request data (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Advertising (Google AdSense). Some pages display ads served by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and, where enabled, personalize them based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review and control this at Google Ads Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Ads never appear over the editor canvas or have access to your photos.

Cookies

PhotoPuma itself does not set tracking cookies. Any cookies you encounter come from the advertising provider described above. Depending on where you are, you may be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can decline.

Children's privacy

PhotoPuma is a general-audience tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of PhotoPuma after changes means you accept the updated policy.
